Luggage Rack Mazda MX-5 ND

Hello everyone. Here is the purchase of a MAZDA MX-5 ND luggage rack from Comptoir du Cabriolet.

ALAIN O.

General

The Mazda MX-5 ND is the 4th generation of the highly successful MX-5. It was launched in France in 2015, following a joint agreement between Fiat and Mazda to design a common roadster. Despite this joint partnership, the two brands decided to each release a vehicle, with specificities of their own. LThe two roadsters, the Fiat 124 spider and the MX-5 ND will be produced at Mazda‘s Hiroshima plant in Japan.

Mazda has stuck to its main focus for the MX-5: chasing every unnecessary gram. In order to maintain the balance and lightness expected of the vehicle. Despite complaints and disappointments about the low engine power and sound, its ride comfort, handling and balance have made it a favorite among drivers who quickly forget about the engine. That didn’t stop it from being named “Best Car in the World” at the 2016 New York Auto Show.

Production

The ND was produced with two engine types. A 1.5 L engine with 130 hp and another engine included only in the vehicle’s sports package, a 2 L engine with 160 hp. In 2018, in order to comply with the new and increasingly strict anti-pollution standards, the engines have been given a makeover. Pushing the 1.5L to gain 2 hp with 132 hp now, and the 2L to go from 160 hp to 184 hp to the delight of new buyers.

For the 30th anniversary of the MX, the ND was given a special limited 30 year anniversary edition. With the 2L engine, orange colour, and engraved wheels.

In June 2017, the MX RF, an ND Targa roof version will be produced.
